Hotfix maintenance Nov 6

  • Dear Community,

Considering your reactions from last night, it became clear that we had to act immediately. As we have already told you yesterday, it was not our intention to introduce stealth changes to elemental defenses and damage.

It was a mistake on our side, we did not monitor the changes and did not adapt our testing process accordingly. We apologize for completely throwing you off your guard!

We discussed the situation with WebZen last night (do note that their is a time difference of 8 hours) and they agreed to make adjustments to the increased elemental damage.

With today's hotfix the additional elemental damage caused by enemies, that was increased with update 20.5., will be halved.

The idea of the original adjustment was to create a more balanced and exciting system of elemental defense and damage.

A system where damage caused by the attacker depends on the elemental resistances of the defender, allowing players to regulate damage and resistances more effectively by increasing their elemental bonuses.

Hence, the effect remains in the game, but will be attenuated by reducing elemental damage.

Another change is that now more monsters than before cause elemental damage.

Since we did not include the newly introduced taxes in our announcement, we would also like to do this now:

A trade tax was introduced in conjunction with the bazaar map. In this case we also want to address your feedback and decided to reduce the taxes from 7% for the normal shop and 3% for the premium shop to 3% and 1% accordingly.

We hope that we managed to explain the adjustments in detail and thank you for your feedback and your patience!

    Your Metin2-Team
